Boston University’s men’s lacrosse escaped a comeback attempt in Friday afternoon’s Patriot League Championship semifinal matchup against Lehigh University with a 13-12 overtime win at Nickerson Field.

Time was running out for Boston University men’s lacrosse co-captain Matt Hilburn as he cradled the ball behind the net with two Lehigh defenders draped over him. At last, Hilburn, a senior attack, spotted co-captain Timmy Ley cutting toward the goal. Ley, contorting his body to avoid the defense, fired a backhand shot with five seconds left on the clock.

No. 4/3 Princeton University defeated the No. 13 Boston University men’s lacrosse team by a score of 12-7 in a Saturday afternoon matchup at Sherrerd Field in Princeton, New Jersey. 

Boston University men’s lacrosse dominated conference rival Lafayette College en route to a 21-11 win in Saturday’s Patriot League matchup at Nickerson Field. After suffering their first loss of the season to Harvard University on Tuesday, the Terriers (7-1, 4-0 Patriot League) shredded the defense of the Leopards (2-7, 0-4 PL), scoring a season-high 21 goals.
